How Much Does Pure Talk Cost?
Pure TalkUSA plans start as low as $10 a month. All plans include unlimited talk and text. Monthly data plans range from 2 GB to unlimited. Unlimited talk, text, and data is available for $27.50 a month.
What Phones Are Compatible with Pure Talk?
GSM (Global System for Mobile communications) compatible phones will work with PureTalk. GSM phones have SIM cards that hold your account information. AT&T and T-Mobile both run on GSM technology. If your phone is set up to run on one of these networks, then it is compatible with Pure Talk. Verizon and Sprint, however, run on CDMA technology (different from GSM) and phones from these networks are not compatible.
If you want to use a GSM compatible phone you already have, it must be unlocked.
Can You Keep Your Phone Number with Pure Talk?
Yes, in most instances you can keep your existing phone number if you want to change to Pure TalkUSA or a different phone network than the one you’re currently on. This is called wireless porting, or Wireless LNP (local number portability). While networks don’t like this (no one wants to lose a customer), according to the FCC they have to honor a valid porting request.
If you are switching providers but remaining local (same city or regional area), this should not be an issue. However, if you are moving (say from California to Minnesota), then you could not be able to port your number.
Who Owns Pure Talk?
PureTalk is a subsidiary of Telrite Corporation with headquarters in Covington, Georgia.
